The AIREX Balance products are active therapy and training devices made of the familiar soft AIREX^® foam material. The AIREX^® Balance-pad XLarge is twice as large as the Balance-pad Elite, permitting balance training in a whole new dimension as a result. The variety of exercises and the variations to make training more challenging have been expanded with the introduction of the Balance-pad XLarge. Its special waffle structure on the top and bottom makes it slip-resistant and simultaneously provides pleasant stimulation for the foot receptors during barefoot balance training. The thickness of 6 cm gives the Balance-pad XLarge the desired destabilizing characteristics. Due to the yielding foam, the body is constantly challenged in o‍rder to maintain balance and stabilize the joints. More and deeper muscles are trained as a result compared to performing the same exercises without the Balance-pad XLarge. The control functions of the brain are activated and the receptors in the area of the joints and fascia system are stimulated more strongly.

Training with the Balance-pad XLarge can purposefully improve conditional and coordinative abilities in combination, for example strength, endurance, differentiation and balance. It is used in rehabilitation and prevention as well as recreational and professional sports. We recommend using an AIREX mat underneath as the ideal complement, especially for exercises that are performed for example while lying down or in the side push-up position.
